I went to the doggie park!

Woof! I haven't been to an actual dog park in almost two years, way back when me and mom and Shakespeare first moved to Richmond. Me and Shakey just wanted to sniff and mark stuff, while the other dogs wanted to play, so mom decided we were more of a leash walking at the park kind of pack.  Oh! So first, me, mom, and her friend had a picnic at Chimborazo Park, and they ate fried chicken and I got little pieces of chicken.  Bunches of people walked by our picnic spot and I barkbarkbarkbarked at them all!

Watchdog!

In this weird photo, it looks like I'm only as big as mom's friend's shoe, BOL, but it's just the camera angle. Mom thought the way I was sitting was adorable (of course, everything I do is adorable!).

Photo weirdness - I am bigger than a shoe!

Mom's friend took this photo and posted it to Facebook, and people said I look like a bunny.

I'm not a bunny, I'm a supergirl schnauzer princess!

After our picnic, we walked over to the small doggie park.

I had the park to myself for a bit, and I sniffed everything!

Eventually a LWD named Henry showed up! He was all nice and groomed and wore a tartan collar, and he sniffed me and tried to play with me and I barkbarkbarkbarked at him! His mom said it was ok, Henry can be pushy and he needs somedoggy to give him boundaries. Well, I'm somedoggy! BOL  Mom liked him a lot too, she petted and hugged him and I barkbarkbarked at mom and Henry cause I should be the center of attention. After Henry and his mom left, I sniffed for a couple more minutes, but me and mom's friend were ready to go home.

Let's blow this popsicle stand!

So it's been a good Saturday!  Oh, also, mom facilitated an adoption for this schnauzer, BJ - he's gonna have a pawsome furever home.

Hope you pups are having as nice a Saturday as BJ and me!

Princess Supergirl!

Oh! I almost furgot, Finley and Mini Mischief nominated me for a Leibster Award and I haven't answered any of my questions - sorry Finley! I will post them soon!
It's warmed up now, but last Monday was cold and snowy, yuk! Mom covered me with my Little Princess blanket, but whenever I moved, I kept it on like a cape.. cause I’m Princess Supergirl!

Princess Supergirl is keeping an eye out on the neighborhood!

Weekend happenings

Hi pals!  Sorry I haven’t been keeping up on my blog – it’s mom’s fault. She’s been busy and stressed looking for and accepting a new job (her contract’s up on her old job and she’s really sad about it cause she wants to stay but budget and contractor rules say no.. *pout*), and now she’s stressing finding a new place to live that’s affordable and pawfect for me – I need a window to look out of ya know!
Also this weekend, mom did two rescue transports – I know cause I smelled two different dogs in the car!  One was a schnauzer – on Saturday, she helped bring this guy came into rescue: http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/28717528/:

My name is Tito and I'm adoptable!

And on Sunday, she helped drive a daschund girl to her forever home:

My name is Abby Rose and I was adopted last weekend!

As for me, I did get belly time and scratches from mom’s friend:

My name is Lacey and I'm spoiled rotten! p.s. You missed a spot!

And they took me to Byrd Park, where I walked around a couple lakes and scared off some geese!  (Mom didn’t take any pictures.)

Hope you're all well! Woof!

My weekend so far

Hi pups! Hope you're all having a good weekend!

The good news from yesterday is that mom went to Three Dog Bakery! The bad news is that she did not bring me.  Three Dog Bakery is in a dog-friendly outdoor mall, and you did bring me and Shakespeare (we miss you!) there once.  I think they should also let dogs in the nice Italian restaurant too, that's no excuse for not bringing me. Anypaw! Mom brought me mini-pizzas and peanut mutter cookies:

I'm not big on the "mini-pizza" cause, well, it's not actual pizza, but I love the peanut mutters!

Today it's been nice and warm, so mom and I went to Three Lakes Park again. I did my usual sniffing, barking at dogs and people, leaving p-mail, sniffing, swiftly changing direction depending on the sniffs, observing dogs and people, and hogging the whole path so other humans couldn't walk by (mom had to pick me up a couple times cause I didn't want to move. Why should I? I'm a princess, people should walk around me!). I made mom carry me a few times cause I was just done walking. She was carrying me towards some humans and they looked at us and chuckled - they must not know what a princess I am!  We had some nice sunshine for an hour or so (it's raining now, sigh).

 Lots of sunshine!

Lots of sniffs!

Even some shaking!

 Lots of pmail, BOL!
