Photos of me at Three Dog Bakery

I had such a pawsome time at the dog friendly outdoor mall, I'm still tired today!  I walked normal speed (I'm a slowpoke on mom and me's walks), sniffed all over, barked, said hi to dogs and people, and tried to pull mom in a bunch of stores (she walked me around Brookstone and looked at new pillows for us, I mean, her). Mom said I must be a shopper. (She is not.)

I said hi to a Westie, and mom and his owner talked about ways I looked like a Westie. I get asked a lot if I'm a Westie. I could have Westie grandpawrents or something, I dunno. So shout out to my little white dog pals, woof!

We went in a nice smelling new age-y store and the young lady working there said I looked like a stuffed animal. BOL

I got so much attention and so many pets, especially at Three Dog Bakery! A couple times there'd be lines of peoples walking through the store and I'd look up at them like "Pet me! Are you going to pet me?!? Why aren't you petting me?!?  Pet me!"  Like a petting processional, BOL!  I even ate "Beggin for Smores" treat samples off the floor, which is rare for non-food and treat motivated me. Yes, mom bought me a box, woof!

When me, my angel furbro Shakespeare, and mom went to this same mall the the bakery a couple years ago, mom didn't take pictures cause she didn't have a free hand, BOL.  So she made my grandpa take pictures this time.

A big week!

Hi pups! Hope you're all doing pawsome!  Life's been the usual lately, but this week my grandma visited and stayed with me and mom!  I was so happy to have  her around.  Today me, mom, and grandma went to a pet-friendly outdoor shopping mall and I had a pawtastic time!! I sniffed and barked and practically ran around the place (I tried to run the place, but alas, my barks were not heeded).  We also went to Three Dog Bakery!  I got so many pets there, I was loving it!  Grandma took some pictures, so once I get mom to put them on the computer, I'll post em. It was a big full day and I'm exhausted! Zzzzzz....!

Torture Lacey week. Sigh.

So appawrently last week National Dog Day + my angel furbro Shakespeare’s barkday = torture Lacey week.   First she took me to the vet, which, ok, it was time to check my senior bloodwork, pawcetera. Then yesterday, on my angel furbro’s barkday, she took me to the groomers, which, ok, I was pretty fuzzy and was getting hot quickly and I did need a really good bath.  They cut my beard really short, but mom asked them to cause my beard was getting in my way and I’d get food stuck in it. (I’ve been eating more soft foods lately, like potatoes and softened kibble.)  I do look kinda funny, but I feel good. Mom says it’s better at my age (what, princess age?!) to be comfy than look like a schnauzer.

It hasn’t been all bad of a week, I’ve gotten a lot of chicken! And love and pets, per usual. And mom’s carrying me more cause she doesn’t want me to lose weight by exercising by going up and down the stairs. Silly mom. BOL

Here’s non-schnauzer-looking me, feeling comfy:

Mom also took this close up cause she thought it looked like I had a twirly villain moustache, BOL (there’s a little twirl-up on the left).

I’m not a villain I’m a princess!

Oh! I almost forgot – mom was thisclose to being a traitor!  After the groomer took me to the back to hang out, she brought out a schnauzer puppy for my mom to hold.  Mom freaked out of course and squeeeed and snuggled the puppy and gave him kisses. Sheesh!  I’m glad she didn’t dognap him cause I’m not a fan of puppies. Well, he also he belonged to someone. BOL  So she gave him back.

Of course I can’t furget – Happy belated Barkday to my angel furbro Shakespeare. We miss you a lot.

He was a silly boy who loved unwrapping presents!

Bloodwork results

I'm just going to paste in what mom wrote on facebook, I'm too full of freshly boiled chicken to type. Woof!

Results from Lacey’s blood tests yesterday: Titers were protective, greater than 1:5, so no more distemper/parvo vaccines, yay. :)   Her globulin is still elevated, but a tad lower than the past. Her organ panel was “great”;  kidney, liver, and pancreas enzymes were normal levels. Her thyroid was slightly lower than normal, but this is likely a normal variation since she’s not showing signs of hypothyroidism. (One of which is gaining weight, which I’d love for her to do, heh. But not because she’s sick of course.)

Good, right? I deserve a big nap after pasting that!

Happy National Dog Day!

Wanna know what my mom did for me on National Dog Day? She took me to the vet. *facepaw* BOL  The vampi, er, vets took blood for my heartworm test (negative), 6 month senior bloodwork and titer test. I'll let ya know how everything turns out.

Here's me yesterday waiting for mom to come home from making my treat money:

Visitors, weekend fun, and new bed!

So mostly nothing happens around here except me being spoiled rotten.  But lots of stuff happened this weekend!

First, my previous old human and doggy roommates visited Friday morning!  Me and mom (and angel furbro Shakespeare) lived with them for two years, and I ruled that pack, BOL. We were all happy to see each other! Me and Bela barked and sniffed and caught up on our news. I jumped against previous human roommate, all butt wiggles and barks, and he finally relented, sat down, put me in his lap and petted me. He’s still well-trained, BOL.  Bela’s dad brought in her stuff, and I promptly took over her bed.

Have I mentioned Bela is an 80 lb pittie mix?!? BOL  She’s super sweet and submissive, and she’s a senior girl like me.

I’m still the alpha, BOL

Later on Friday, me and mom traveled to visit my grandpawrents. Bela stayed with my current human roommate, who watched her for the weekend.  I love visiting my grandpawrents. They have two schnauzers, Adeline and Samson, who were both adopted from Schnauzer Rescue of the Mid-Atlantic.  My grandpawrents have a big fenced-in yard, which I LOVE. I was in and out all day, just like a little kid, BOL.  A couple of times I’d bark at the door like I wanted to come inside, mom would open the door to let me in, and I’d walk back into the yard – cause I wanted her to be outside with me. She’s well-trained. BOL

My furcousins Adeline (bottom) and Samson (top)

Mom bought me a new bed while we were there. It’s big so I can stretch out and orthopedic cause I’m a senior doggy.

I appawrove.

We went back home on Sunday. My new bed was in the backseat with me, so I got a little extra boost to look out the windows. (Btw, we have a doggy hammock for my car safety.)

Bela was still there when we got home, so after I took short naps in my new bed, I took over her bed again. BOL

Mine!

Also mine! Until it goes home with Bela.

Bunny in my yard!

A little brown bunny rabbit showed up in my yard today! I told it off good! Get outta my yard before I get you! Wooof woof bark bark bark!!

Bunnies are my arch nemeses, like squirrels are to most terriers. My angel furbro Shakespeare went nuts (ha!) over squirrels.  I haven’t seen a bunny since when me and mom and Shakey lived in our apartment a few years ago. Those bunnies (and squirrels) wandered all over the place and I often told them off through the patio door.

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this here, but mom thinks it’s hilarious that bunnies are my enemies and I’m small and fluffy and look like a bunny. Hahaha mom, not.

Oh, here’s a pic of me and her napping the other night:

Isn't she adorable? BOL
